The TURBO-REFLEX partnership consists of 26 partners from nine different countries, including core representatives of the European Turbine Industry and leading european universities and research institutes.

Institute of Aviation

The Materials & Structures Research Center (MSRC) is part of Institute of Aviation, which has been founded on 1926. The MSRC started to work in December 2004. Since this time, it has performed a variety of material and structural tests for the world’s leading manufacturers of aircraft and engines. MSRC consists of two subdivisions: materials and structures. Materials test subdivision consists of material laboratory, non-destructive test laboratory and workshop specialised in machining of samples for mechanical tests. Structures test subdivision consists of structural test laboratory and vibroacoustics laboratory. They have strong research capabilities in the area of static and fatigue tests of aircraft structures. Both the full scale and the structural components.

Role in the project

The Materials & Structures Research Center has state of the art materials research facility and has the requisite approval for mechanical tests (creep, tensile, load control - low and high cycles fatigue tests, strain control - low cycles fatigue tests) obtained by Polish Accreditation Centre – AB792, General Electric – S-400 and Pratt & Whitney. The Materials & Structures Research Center has also published in journals on topics related to mechanics & material science of additive materials.
