The TURBO-REFLEX partnership consists of 26 partners from nine different countries, including core representatives of the European Turbine Industry and leading european universities and research institutes.

Doosan Škoda Power

Doosan Skoda Power (DSPW) is a traditional European original equipment manufacturer of steam turbine technology, located in Pilsen, the Czech Republic, employing about 1,400 internal employees and generating profit about eighty million euros. Doosan Skoda Power has joined Doosan group, a Korean company, in 2010. Nowadays Doosan Skoda Power R&D division is also an European-based branch and centre of excellence of Doosan Global Steam Turbine R&D Centre.

Role in the project

DSPW is the work package lead of WP3 “Compressor off-design operability” and the task lead on ST blade vibrations. DSPW strongly contributes to T3.4 “ST thermal loading” (with the other involved partners) by the development of a software tool to predict component life after fatigue damage has appeared, by determining fatigue crack propagation rates and the number of cycles until failure, for target components under service-like conditions. DSPW leads task T4.2 “Steam turbine monitoring system” and is actively involved in all WP5 tasks. DSPW is a member of the EB.
